Thanks for the question. I use Irfanview to pick out details in photos. The Harry's Filters system is quick and gives a great variety of effects.
There is quite a bit to explain, so I've started a "Technical Tips" area in my blog called:

All should be explained when I have more time to answer questions about the film camera I use, the zoom lens that magnifies flowers and the digital enhancement, a matter of trial and error on the computer
This will have to wait until September, as I'm taking a holiday from the nuts and bolts of blogging for the next two weeks.
